Lobby Day 2011 a success!

Our 2011 Lobby Day started with a wonderful speech from Gov. Chet Culver, who received a standing ovation when he remarked on his administration's commitment "to protect the constitutional rights of all Iowans regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation."
After the rousing speech, almost 100 dedicated Iowans who'd braved the snow and wind to get up to the Iowa State Capitol, stayed on through the afternoon to talk to every legislator who could be summoned.
The night was capped off at the State Historical Building where Lt. Gov. Patty Judge presented us with her final One Iowa award.
