Our Work in Focus
Thanks to everyone who participated in last week's Freedom to Marry Week activities! Throughout the week, Iowans did their part to support the freedom to marry in Iowa and your hard work showed! Letters to the Editor were published in newspapers statewide, facebook, twitter, and text messages helped spread the word amongst friends and families, and events around the state featured diverse Iowans who support equality. Finally, One Iowa's Lobby Day brought 80 marriage equality supporters from across the state to share their stories at the Capitol. |

Lambda Legal to Host "Let My Parents Marry" Events
Iowa families will be speaking out this week about why marriage is important to their families at two educational events in Iowa City and Des Moines. The events are hosted by Lambda Legal and co-sponsored by Drake Legal Clinic’s Middleton Center for Children’s Rights, COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere), and Family Equality Council. | |||
