Ottumwa, SE Iowa Rainbow Pride Picnic - Sunday, July 12, 2009

Join a group of Ottumwans and SE Iowans committed to full equality for LGBT Iowans! On July 12, SE Iowa Rainbow Pride will have a picnic featuring hamburgers, hotdogs, and conversation with new friends! All are welcome to this family friendly event, which will include games and an (optional but FUN) water balloon fight! Special guest Felipe Gallardo from One Iowa will also be joining us. One Iowa is the largest LGBT advocacy organization, working statewide for full equality. He will discuss One Iowa's campaign to protect marriage equality in Iowa and detail ways you can get involved to create a more proactive and supportive community for you and your family! We will meet at Memorial Park in Ottumwa at 3:00 pm. Burgers, hotdogs, and drinks will be provided. Those wishing to contribute may bring a side dish and/or dessert to share.
