Phelps Family Plans Return to Iowa
SIGN UP FOR OUR VIRTUAL PHONEBANK!
Fred Phelps and his despised Westboro Baptist Church plan a return to Iowa on July 24th for stops in Waukee, Ames and Marshalltown. The group is known for picketing military funerals, anti-gay venom and anti-Semitism.
Our Response:2500 phone calls for EQUALITY in 2 hours!
In the face of so much negativity, we ask supporters of equality to do something positive: Help us start a respectful conversation and build support for marriage equality! On Thursday, July 23, we plan to make 2500 phonecalls for marriage equality in the span of 2 hours.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! To reach our goal, we need 100 supporters statewide to each make at least 25 phonecalls!
All you need to participate from the comfort of your home is a cell phone or long-distance-enabled telephone and internet access! Sign up now and we'll send you an email with everything you need!
If you are in Ames on July 24, join One Iowa and community allies after Phelps' visit for another opportunity to do something positive! This month's Fourth Friday LGBT & Ally Potluck will be coupled with a One Iowa phonebank to build support for marriage equality!
