Talk to your Legislator!
Gay or straight, Democrat or Republican, married or single – your personal story is the most convincing tool we have to impact the hearts and minds of legislators. Meet your legislators for coffee, stop by their office, attend their weekend forum, or schedule a face-to-face meeting. Or call, email, or write a thank you to your legislators and tell your story. Let your legislator know that you support equality and fairness for all Iowa families!

Host a House Party!
Friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues are gathering together all across Iowa to learn more about our journey toward equality for all families. The most effective and meaningful conversations about the freedom to marry are happening in living rooms, kitchens and backyard patios all across Iowa at get-togethers called house parties. 

Having a house party is easy – and you don't even need a house or a fancy party!  Host the type of party that's right for you - whether it's evening cocktails, a weekend brunch, a formal dinner, or an afternoon with good friends. We have a special house party kit that makes throwing a house party simple. We will even send trained, inspiring One Iowa staff or volunteers to your event to support you and your efforts.
